TCL is extending its connected-device portfolio with the new TCL Kids Watch K5, designed as a simpler first connected watch for children and families who want to stay in touch without introducing a full smartphone experience. Its core features include 4G communication, video calling, location tracking, safe zones, School Mode and SOS support in a compact, lightweight design. A removable protective bumper case and selected interchangeable straps provide additional ways to personalize the watch.
Like the MOVETIME MT48, the K5 is designed to support everyday family communication through 4G video calls, voice calls and messaging, alongside location tracking, safe zones, SOS support, School Mode and reminders. Its positioning system uses GPS together with A-GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi, base station and other assisted location methods, while the MT48 remains the more advanced option for high-precision positioning through its L1+L5 dual-frequency GPS.
The K5 also introduces a more customizable design to TCL’s kids watch range. Detachable cases and interchangeable straps allow children to change the look of the watch, with selected accessory packs also linked to exclusive watch faces through the TCL CONNECT app.
With its compact format and core communication and safety functions, the K5 will give families another option as children’s routines and levels of independence evolve.
